We love celebrating this special day every year. It’s World Card Making Day! And you know what we’re going to do! We’re going to make cards!
It’s also a day for different types of celebrations too!

- National Cinnamon Roll Day
- St. Francis of Assisi Day
- National Truckers Day
- National Golf Lover’s Day
- World Animal Day
- National Mead Day
- Ship in a Bottle Day
- Frugal Fun Day
- Improve Your Office Day
- No Disposable Cup Day
After all that, I’m glad that we’re celebrating World Card Making Day.
So here’s our card for today. It’s made with a special limited edition set that Stampin’ Up! is using for a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research.

This stamp set is featured on page 4 of the 2025 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Mini Catalog (AKA the September to December Mini Catalog). And Stampin’ Up! is donating $3 to Breast Cancer Research for every set that’s sold.

Tips to Make This Card
- Ann stamped the flower/verbiage image twice onto a half sheet of Basic Beige.
- once in Crushed Curry.
- and once in Pecan Pie.
- She used a largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes on the Pecan Pie image.
- She cut off most of the verbiage on the Crushed Curry one, leaving a portion to adhere to the back of the half circle.
- She fussy cut the petals & then colored over the center of the flower with a Dark Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend.
- The Pecan Pie piece is 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″. The Crushed Curry piece is 3-3/4″ x 5″.
- Read on to catch the rest of the supplies. I’ll bet your can figure the rest out.
When Did It All Start?
Did you know that greeting cards go all the way back to the Victorian era? In the Victorian era, people exchanged ornate handmade cards featuring lace, ribbons, and intricate designs. These elaborate creations set the standard for the decorative elements we see in today’s greeting cards.
If you want to come to today’s Stampin’ Up! online event and didn’t get to reserve a spot, I believe that they’ll put a link in our online store shortly before or during the event that starts at 1pm Pawcific – 4pm Eastern.
If you made a reservation, look for your personal link in your email inbox about an hour before the event starts. If it’s not there, look in your junk mail.
