How Do I Start a Card?
What inspires you when you sit down to make a card? Do you decide the layout first? The color? The stamps?
This time, I suggested a layout to Ann first. Because we make many of our cards for sharing with you, the type of greeting isn’t always thought of until we’ve made the card.
That is, unless we need a specific type of card.
But with this card, here’s how it went (at least this time):
Christmas Tree Peek
Have you ever gone to make a card and then made one that was totally different?
It’s kind of like going into a room to look for something and forgetting what you went in there for. (Yeah! THAT’S never happened to you! Right?)
So Ann was heading in to make a birthday card for LaVerne who is celebrating her 100th birthday this weekend. And she came out with a Christmas card!
What was she thinking? (I’m sure she’ll make an appropriate 100th birthday card for LaVerne later today or tomorrow.
Here’s what she came up with a little punch art using the Stampin’ Up! Tree Punch
Flip Santa
I don’t know about you, but I don’t really like those weird looking Santas in the Visions of Santa stamp set and the Santa & Co. Designer Series Paper.
There! I barked it! And now you know! There is RARELY anything that Stampin’ Up! does that I don’t like, but these Santas freak me out! So much so that I nibbled Ann’s hand to stop her from using it.

It’s a Boy!
Have you ever needed to be in two places at one time? It’s happened to all of us and yesterday it happened to Ann.
Wait! The only time it ever happens to me is when there’s food in my bowl and I’m outside. but I digress….
What a day it was yesterday! The stampers were stamping and Ann was invited to the baby shower next door. The weather was fabulous – something like 76 so they were celebrating outside.
We were doing a Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack with the windows open so we could hear the fun.
Now, if you’ve been following us at all, Ann likes to make her cards to match her gift cards, but my favorite huMAN came home with a red one – not the baby pastels we were expecting. Real Red is Ann’s all-time favorite

How to Make a Starry Christmas Card Video
So you want to know how to make a starry Christmas card?
First, you have to design a card you like. I did that.

I Love This Card!
Today’s card is what I’m going to call Urban Country – if there is such a thing. It’s got a more finished look than country, but it definitely doesn’t have an urban feel. What do you think?
Special Fall Card
Where do I start? With our specials today? Or with a nice Fall card?
Hold your hand up if you want the special first. Hold them up high while I count. One, two,…..uh….it looks like the card will go first.
I saw something similar to this and tried to explain it to Ann. She did the best that she could, but I think she’d make it a little different next time.

Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants for winning the World Series yesterday for the third time in five years. PLUS it’s the first time in over 35 years that a team has won the World Series on the road in the 7th game.
So while this card is dedicated to the Giants – how convenient that their uniforms are in Halloween colors!
