Easy and Elegant Sympathy Card

We bought this stamp set a while back but tend to look to other sets first. But it just seemed to be the perfect thought for someone whose husband of many years has passed away. We know she misses him terribly.

And because she’s a crafter, we wanted to make something extra special. So we brought out our Stampin’ Hot Foil Machine and came up with this card.

I know it can’t heal the pain, but I do hope that it helps her know that we were thinking of her.

Some crafters don’t use metallics on a sympathy card, but it really has a place on this card. The brick die from the Echoes of Detail Hot Foil Dies is the reason we bought this set of dies. It really adds some texture.

Since we had gold bricks, we may as well throw in a gold leaf. Lucky for us, we had a leaf die in the Forever Florals Bundle that fit the bill and could be used for the gold and the Mossy Meadow leaves.

You could heat emboss the greeting with gold embossing powder, but I believe that was just a little bit farther than Ann wanted to go.
