Today is the 20th anniversary of the arrival of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and we’d like to send a good vibes card to those affected.
It wasn’t fun for anyone. Not New Orleans and not the cities and towns that displaced people were sent to.
New Orleans is a fun town. Have you ever been there? That’s why we planned a fun fold card for today.
Sending Good Vibes
Who would you like to send good vibes to? I think we could all come up with a very lengthy list. Some of our friends would need it and others would get them just because.
Ann didn’t warm up to this color combination initially, but she insisted this card be made with the Boho Vibes paper. And this layout works just right.
Of course, you could make the circle out of Daffodil Delight which is used in the paper. But Ann chose Cloud Cover as sometimes stamping blues onto yellows will give the ink a green hue to it as the colors merge.
It’s a physics thing. Or a color wheel thing. You pick.
Don’t you just love those Two-Tone Sparkle Gems? Yowzah! We almost put some Flower Accents in there, but thought the Two-Tone Sparkle Gems fit the bill better.

Write Where?
You could put a piece of white cardstock on the underside or you could put it on the back of the tent. You choose. There are very few rules in card making. But not stressing over the process is definitely one of them.

Great card! Hard to believe it’s been 20 years since Katrina. We had several families arrive at the elementary school where I taught.
