Ann’s always believed that there are ways that we are all more creative than we think. That’s why Ann brought up our creative exercise.

Over the years, Ann has this exercise that she’s done to sharpen her creative skills. And she explained it in yesterday’s live stream. In fact, she DID it in yesterday’s live stream.

You can watch it below or here on YouTube. (Until I can edit it, the sound comes on at about 1:45 as I forgot to turn the microphone on.)

It all started when Ann caught a glimpse of a card made with the new Prairie Grass stamp set that was released yesterday. It was just a glimpse of what was in the online store and not a full picture.

She made sure she didn’t go back and look. It was just a very small picture so she didn’t get all the details. Still, she couldn’t wait for the set to get here so she could make it happen.

When you look at the online store or at the end of the video, you’ll see the inspiration card. But here’s what we made on the show.

When you see the inspiration card, you’ll see that Ann’s card doesn’t look anything like it. Well, the layout is similar. And color bands are similar, but nothing else.

During the show, Ann said that she’d share the sizes of the paper, so here they are:

  • Smokey Slate: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″
  • Basic Gray: 3-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
  • Bubble Bath at the top: 3″ x 1-5/8″
  • Highland Heather in the middle: 3″ x 1-5/8″
  • Gorgeous Grape at the bottom: 3″ x 1-7/8″
  • And a scrap of white for the greeting
