Do you find it hard to make a sympathy card? I know that we do.
And here it is time to make another one way too soon.
This one took more time to think about than to make. Sometimes things mean something in your card design….
- a single flower
- muted colors
- simplistic design
Yes, it can mean more than just what shows on the card. And even though it’s meant to be a masculine card, it’s okay to put a flower on it. It’s for a man who lost a close male relative.
And we did it with just a flower set and a greeting set. Having a greeting set like Good Greetings can be helpful in a pinch. It stretches your stamping dollar so that you can do several types of cards – just not the greetings that came with one stamp set.
If we could put a broken heart on there, we’d do that, but we felt this was better.
We’d really suggest making a few in advance so you don’t delay sending them. This way your loved one will receive your card in a more timely manner – right when they need it.
