Most  paper crafters have a collection of scraps.  If you’ve seen our video about organizing your scraps (shown here), you know that we like to share our scraps that aren’t too small and aren’t too big.  Do you?  How do you keep your scraps organized so you can find them quickly?

This card started off with that Gold Foil Sheets that’s about 1-1/2″ tall.  It was the perfect size to put the word SWEET on there from the new Countless Sayings 2 Polymer Stamp Set that we just got yesterday.

My buddy Gail was over here and wondered how to use the new Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die.  Well, between that Gold Foil Scrap and the new Countless Sayings 2 Stamp Set, we had our work cut out for us last night.  And here is what I came up with.  A nice little handmade Valentine card that could also be made for a Sweet 16 birthday card.  Talk about double duty!

Be sure to read on for two tips about this die.

Countless Sayings 2 Hive

The hive is made from Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry card stock.  The hardest part was to stamp the Sweet Stamp with black ink onto Basic Black card stock and then cut it out.  Having Paper Snips sure did make it easier for Ann.  I couldn’t help with that part other than my condolences for not having opposing thumbs.  (Us dogs have ALL the luck!)

About those two tips for using the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die:

  1. Be sure to use a sheet of waxed paper between the card stock and the die.  (We ran it through twice too.)
  2. The Hexagon Punch is a fair amount bigger than the hexagon openings on this die.

Here’s what else Ann used as I was dozing off to sleep.  Remember we’ve got that new program for you to get an extra Frequent Buyer SNACK when you shop today or tomorrow.  You can find out more about Frequent Buyer SNACKS here.  And now for the supplies you were wondering about:
