Purse-AngieTwo of my new quilting friends came all the way from Alameda to make some cool purses with me.  They were quite impressed with me & I thought their purses were fabulous!  They really had good taste in fabric and inspired Ann to do some more Big Shot quilting projects.

First is Angie's pink & purple purse on the right.  Love those cool colors!  Angie won the class at the Yuba Sutter Quilt Purse-JoannShow last week.  She told us how – due to special circumstances – she only got to be at the show for about an hour.  Just long enough to win a free class!  How's that for timing?

She brought her friend Joann who had this cool butterfly fabric.  I ran to get the camera for Ann to get pictures before they got on the road again.  The next stop was for them to find just the right buttons for their purses & then home to wash them so they get the frizzle frazzle going on.

You can take this class too!  These gals were real quilters with their own special travel sewing machines, but even a novice sewer can do this from fabric to finished in about 4 hours using the Big Shot Machine & the Stampin' Up! exclusive die called Large Clear Scallop Square #115950.

I'm thinking of making me a back pack.  Every dog will want one!

Tune in tomorrow to see the fabulous Easter card that my Doodles designed for me.

I'll bet Joann & Angle will be using their purses on Easter too!  Now to think of a matching bonnet project.

psst!  This is a fabulous time to get your Big Shot while there are still a few days left of Sale-A-Bration.  Find out more here.
