Pretty Green Sympathy Card

Today’s card could be used for a Thinking of You card or an Easter card, but Ann’s going to use it as a pretty green Sympathy card.

Our friend, Kay, wanted to get that Corner in Bloom stamp set free as a Sale-a-Bration bonus. Problem was that we were waiting for all of the Beautiful Butterflies bundle to get back in stock.

And last night it did!

So, that inspired us to make a card with the Corner in Bloom stamps. We did it once before in this post, but today, it’s a pretty green Sympathy card.

I told Ann to stamp those flower in Soft Sea Foam onto a piece of Soft Sea Foam. However, she accidentally (or maybe accidentally on purpose) cut a 3-1/2″ square piece of Basic Beige.

It turned out in spite of my intentions, didn’t it!

Originally, we set out to make an Easter card, but when your friend needs some encouragement after losing her husband of many, many years….. our intentions shifted.

Normally, we’d put some bling on this. So that it wouldn’t be totally bare, we chose a little dot of the Copper Metallic Enamel Effect Basics.

Once the ink dried on the flowers, Ann got out a Water Painter and carefully brushed ink from the White Craft Ink Refill on most of the flowers. (Just the more open ones.

It’s such a soft, pretty look. We don’t use Soft Sea Foam very much, but it sure was the right decision here.
