Don’t you just love getting a card in the mail? And isn’t a handmade one just make you feel special?
We’ve gotten some really nice handmade cards from Jan, Nita, Kay, Marci & presents from the Mid-West and Hawaii. (Hope we’re not leaving anyone out here.) We’d love to share all of them, but one of the two today came from Stampin’ Up! and the other came from one of our 24/7 Stampers, Karen Thomas in Pennsylvania.

Let me show you Karen’s first. But I have to warn you that it’s even prettier in person. Karen made her card with the Stampin’ Up! Limited Edition Stamp Set, Gentle Peace.
Karen heat embossed the image in Black Embossing Powder. My canine eye detects usage of the Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities Alcohol based Markers. The main image is cut out and mounted on the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Didn’t Karen do a grrrreat job? This is a unique color combination for a Christmas card and people will notice!
The day before that, Ann got a special invitation to attend the Stampin’ Up! Advisory Board Reunion Luncheon when she goes for Leadership Training in January. It’s an exclusive honor for her to get together with her counterparts from when they were on the Advisory Board together back when I was a pup in 2009-2010. It’s always a fancy invitation and they kept up their reputation – with one surprising feature.
The Stampin’ Up! employees that made these used the Big Shot & various embossing folders. The Sketched Birthday stamp set used is featured on page 49 of the big catalog. And that card stock? That’s hidden on page 193. It’s Brushed Gold Card Stock.
Ann tells me that the Gold 5/8″ Satin Ribbon is even better than the satin ribbon Ann fell in love with when she first became a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in 1999. Yummy!
But the one surprising thing about this card is that it doesn’t stand up! At least it didn’t when I took it into our little photo booth. Maybe I breathed on it too hard.
But who cares! It was just nice to look over Ann’s shoulder as she held it.
I don’t know where you work, but wouldn’t it be nice to get something like Karen’s card from a co-worker? Or a handmade invitation to a special luncheon in your honor at work?
If you don’t feel special where YOU’RE working, maybe you should think about coming to work with me and Ann. It’s pretty nice getting ink on your paws and getting together with friends to do some crafty stuff.
