Pet Sympathy Card on Somber Sunday

It’s hard to say goodbye to a faithful furry friend so sometimes we need to make a pet sympathy card for the owner. It’s hard for Ann to make them even now after I crossed the Rainbow Bridge almost 4 years ago.

But when your friend’s pup passes away after 15 happy years, you need to make a card. And this is what she made.

I don’t know about you, but Ann is always listening for my pup-o-graphic messages. And this time, she totally understood what I was barking.

She started out with a piece of Lost Lagoon patterned paper. She cut it down to 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ so that it wouldn’t cover all of the card front but still shows enough of the pattern.

We were going for a starry look. I think we got it even though Lost Lagoon isn’t usually a “night sky” color.

When’s the last time you used your Stampin’ Blends to color Basic Rhinestones? When you do it, please don’t press hard. Ann has a really light touch, so we don’t usually have an issue. But if you’re heavy handed, I would recommend using a Sharpie so that you don’t ruin your tips.

But if you like exact color matching, just color them with a light hand.

In any case, we hope it brings her comfort after losing such a special dog.
