Do you think there are rules for dressing a gnome? We asked that question on yesterday’s show and no one seems to know.

Why do you think that is?

Because there aren’t any rules for dressing a gnome!

Since we wanted to make a back to school gnome, Beverly suggested Fall or bright colors. We decided to use some Fall-ish colors.

You could use any colors, but they don’t have to coordinate. Of course, we’re card makers so coordination is important – at least to us.

To prove that point, we made our first little gnome card with some unique colors – gray and purple tones.

So that was a starter card. We’ve already sent it to one of our gnome loving friends.

This gnome bundle was so popular that they sold out of the dies. They weren’t expected until later this month, but just before the

When it came time for the live show, we let the viewers pick the colors. I like how it came out.

I like the purple version but I think I like the back to school colors better.

You can watch how we make it and learn a little about how we colored the gnome with Stampin’ Blends.

See the video here on YouTube or watch it below. Then I’ll tell you how Ann finished the card and what she added after the show.

We Made a Few Little Changes

You probably noticed that she moved that Pumpkin Pie piece. (It was horizontal in the video, but we thought it looked better vertical.)

That wasn’t all she did with that piece. She also used the Blending Brushes to apply some Pumpkin Pie ink to make the stripes stand out.

We meant to switch out that metallic foil piece for one that was really copper. She accidentally put the card together with the lighter foil piece that she had in the show. That meant Plan B – we glued the right copper color one over the original one.

And then, of course, she added those Brushed Metallic Adhesive Dots that she likes so much. (Look at the original picture because you can only see one in this picture below.)
