We Need More Elegant Birthday Cards

We make a lot of thank you cards and cards for different holidays. But we can always use an easy and elegant birthday card. And the one we took today is fairly quick to assemble once we decided which way to put it togeether.

Which do you prefer? Landscape like this one? Or portrait going the other way.

Or like some people call it – hamburger or hot dog?

That’s kind of funny, don’t you think?

What About an Upgrade?

How would you upgrade this card? Ann thought about using a Wink of Stella pen to make the swirly things on the edge a little sparkly. It’s not too late. It just takes a little steady hand.

It doesn’t matter if your hand isn’t absolutely steady, We could all use a little extra sparkle. 😉

The hardest part was deciding which embellishment to use! We almost fell back on our favorite, Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems. Instead, I convinced Ann to try the new Earthy Matte Dots.

What do you think you’d use?

We originally thought about making this with Pecan Pie and Early Espresso. Then we started thinking and realized that we haven’t used Blackberry Bliss in a while.

Mixing Colors

And can you believe that we mixed Basic Beige and Very Vanilla? We do it from time to time to make the greeting pop. But I think that only once we’ve ever mixed Basic White and Very Vanilla.
