Well, at least I hope that this is an inspirational card. Because the person we’re sending this to needs to stay inspired.

and so this is what we came up with.

If you look in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog, they explain about Kintsugi on page 60. It explains that Kintsugi is the traditional Japanese technique of fixing broken pottery with gold lacquer. The mended gold veins become a celebration of imperfection instead of hiding it.

Our young friend had several strokes and he is working like a champ to repair himself. He’s made so many steps in the right direction and we want to encourage him to keep moving forward.

He’s such a nice man and became a grandpa for the first time right about the time he was hospitalized. Once he improved to a certain point, he had to move to a special hospital far away from where they lived. And they’ve had to buy a specially equipped van to finally go back home.

He’s been working on healing for about 6 months now. It’s been a long, focused climb and he is blessed with a supportive wife and kids.

When is the last time you’ve sent someone a card to encourage them? We send birthday cards and sometimes get well cards. But sometimes people just need a kind word to let them know you’re in their corner.

But Let’s Talk About Stamping

Do you know what else is good about this card? We made it with supplies that are currently on sale! Yes! We’re giving 15% off 25-27 IN Colors! It’s time to check your supplies!
