You may already know, but I should bark that Pretty in Pink is back! And this time it is on point!

When it was around in the 1990’s and early 2000’s (long before this pup was emersed in the crafting world), Ann didn’t like the way that the ink and the paper coordinated. Or, at least, that’s how she remembers it.

But a lot of ink has been put on paper since then and Stampin’ Up! has invented tons of colors since. Just think, for the past 14 years, Stampin’ Up! has added 5 colors annually to our color palettes! Some return. And some don’t.

I wish she’d saved samples of all the paper!

So, Now That Pretty in Pink is Back…

This is what we came up with.

It’s a little out of our comfort zone, but I can tell you how we did it. But first, I’ll tell you how it’s different for us:

  • We normally put a few layers.
  • We use patterned paper, but not a lot. We used TWO here!
  • We normally do all the stamping. (Can you spot the die cut?)
  • And Subtles are not our go-to colors. (but they are pretty!)
    • Pretty in Pink and Shy Shamrock aren’t technically Subtles, so there’s thatl.

Stampin’ Up! Has Something New!

We haven’t used these before outside of kits. But Stampin’ Up! has new ephemera kits that they’re selling. These are full of die cuts that you can use on your cards and scrapbook pages. This one has tons of greetings and words in different colors. It’s great to have on hand just in case so we had to try it.

We Tried Something Else New Too!

Do you have a catalog? Turn to page 22. At the bottom of the page, Stampin’ Up! has added 22 layout ideas. We’ve been inspired by layouts before but never from a Stampin’ Up! catalog. They’re a great way to kick off your cardmaking session. You never know what you’ll come up with. And this card is what we came up with using the very first layout shown.
