Have you ever made a donut card? It doesn’t have to be in the shape of a donut. Maybe one that has donuts on it like today’s card.

Honestly? I’m pretty sure that this was our firset one.

This is another card that is featuring free things. In fact, you might not have spotted the stamp set that the donut came from. It’s in the back of the January to April Mini Catalog. It’s a hostess set that you can pick as one of your items when you host an online workshop with Ann. And you’d have change left over for more free hosting benefits (AKA Stampin’ Rewards).

How to Color the Donut Card

We tried coloring the donuts different ways, but this was the fastest:

  • Press the stamp in an Flirty Flamingo ink pad.
  • Stamp onto Basic White card stock.
  • Color over the bread part of the donuts using a Pecan Pie Stampin’ Write Marker.

Ann tried coloring direct onto the stamp with her markers, but that didn’t have as good of an affect. (or is that effect?)

She also tried inking up the stamp with Flirty Flamingo and then coloring over the bread part of the donuts directly onto the stamp. That still wasn’t quite as nice and the Pecan Pie wasn’t a true Pecan Pie.

And it was easy to fussy cut the donuts with our Paper Snips.

We chose Flirty Flamingo because we thought it was the easiest to color over.

And, of course, the greeting stamp set is free with a $50 order. You can check out the whole supply list below.
