Do you ever think about card border sizes? When Ann first started as a demonstrator, she had no idea what size to make her card borders. She didn’t even realize that was a thing.

But she knows now. And today, she’s using a border size that she hasn’t used in some time.

Today’s card is a sneak peek of something that will coming out on January 6th. But I just couldn’t wait that long. In fact, that’s why we shared something made with this same set last Sunday.

Normal Card Border Sizes

♦ If you want a pencil-thin border, cut your border 1/8″ larger than the feature layer.

♦ When Ann wants a thin border, she prefers 3/16″ because it’s easier to work with.

♦ A standard border is cut 1/4″ larger than the feature layer.

♦ Today’s border was cut 1/2″ larger than the feature layer.

We’re using the large border to really ground the card and yet to makes the flowers pop.

What’s your go-to border size?
