It was Flashback Friday yesterday when we made an easy and unique bookmark. Not because of the stamps we used, but because one of our cameras quit. We had to go back to using a webcam to see Ann.
We surely have come a long way since then!
But we have good news!
Prayers were answered!
The problem happened shortly before Ann went live in our Coffee Break party. The camera that you see Ann with had stopped. Ann started troubleshooting and figured out that it wasn’t the camera. It was either a $500 piece of equipment or an $11 cord.
Amazon had the cord here in less than 24 hours, but it came less than 10 minutes before we did the Friday live stream. Oops! We live in a small town and there’s really not an electronics store for this particular cable.
The good news is that it WAS the cord! Whew! $11 fixed it! Prayers answered.
So when you watch the video here, please know that Ann’s not looking at herself. (It’s important to her that you know that.) She was looking at the camera that wasn’t working (a LOT) instead of the webcam like she should have.
And the new cable is installed and working! Whew!
Unique Bookmarks
So in yesterday’s live stream, we made this easy and unique bookmark.
Ann talked about the finer points and things to watch out for. For instance, if you follow her suggestions on how to fold it, the pages won’t catch on the bookmark.
She showed how she colored this one, but she talked about how to make this next one for Father’s Day. I like how it turned out! It’s part of the die set that coordinates with the stamp set He’s All That. Keep reading and we’ll give you all of the supplies.
Well, there’s one supply that we didn’t list and that’s the punch she used to round the corners. She used the tulip punch but you can use any punch with a bend in it – like a circle punch. But if you have a corner rounder, use that.
Ann just took a pair of Paper Snips and cut the Soft Suede one just to see if she cuold do it.
Here’s a peek at both of the bookmarks.
