What is the easiest card to make? A monochromatic thank you card comes to mind for this pup.

You only have to pick one color and then pick other colors that are shades of that color. Much like the colors we used here:

  • Coastal Cabana
  • Bermuda Bay

Then, if you need even more shades, you can stamp off the colors which would give you at least two shades for every ink pad you use.

I originally told Ann to make this card with Mint Macaron and Balmy Blue. But the Mint Macaron ink pad needed to be reinked. We like to give the newly reinked pads an overnight rest after adding the reinking fluid. So she came up with this alternative.

We wanted to make a card with our newly acquired A Fish and a Wish stamp set and punch bundle. Did you see it in the catalog? We almost missed it on page 70. And on page 71, there’s a sample where they used the punch to make the little fish look like a lemon!

Who knew!

So the set is new, but the embellishments won’t be here after the end of next month at the latest. The Polished Dots were perfect to look like little bubbles.

And we are loving the new Stylish Shapes Dies. Those are going to be one of our go-to die sets. We used them to cut out the circle and the greeting banner.

Ann snuck in a couple Adhesive Backed Hexagon embellishments too. Those didn’t make the new annual catalog either so they’re on the short list too.

What color would you want to use to make a monochromatic thank you card?

Maybe we should make one at our Stamp & Play Day! Are you registered? Discover more about this fun event here while we’re still on Early Bird pricing.
