We were looking to design a card using a stamp set that we haven’t played with yet to make this sending love card. So Ann decided on the Fancy Borders set. Even though the set features some awesome dies, we didn’t use them this trip.
But we did use the new Washi tape that Stampin’ Up!® released. And we didn’t use those coordinating dies either.
But we did use some dies that you may already have on hand, the Stylish Shapes Dies.
The Washi Tape has about 5-1/2″ of pink flowers which alternate with about 5-1/2″ of purple flowers. This card features the purple set. We wrapped it around the top and bottom of a 4-3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock. We cut it 3-1/4″ wide – the same width as the Washi Tape, but then cut a bit off each side to make it 3″ wide.
I really like how putting the Washi Tape on the Basic White makes the colors pop. You can also place it on Window Sheets or vellum. There are dies to cut out the images that work much better if you place the Washi Tape on something else first.
