Last night Ann and I made her favorite graduation card ever!  Yep!

Her favorite color is Real Red.  Mine too.

And what are the school colors of Texas Tech?

Real Red and Basic Black!

One of my favorite people under 5′ 2″ is graduating from there this month, so we MUST make her the best card ever!

Red Graduation Card Idea

Isn’t it delicious?  All nice and blingy!

That’s just one of the many things I like about cardmaking.  You can make your card match the school colors, the bride’s colors or the recipient’s favorite color.

In this case, red, black, white and silver and just perfect!

I’m so glad that we have a set of big numbers dies.  We may not use them every day, but we’re sure glad we’ve got them when it comes time for a special birthday, anniversary, or in this case graduation.

And doesn’t the Silver Foil Paper and the Real Red Glimmer Paper just make it sing?

This card is definitely a keeper.  This special girl will pull this out of a box years from now and remember this dog that designed it for her.

Yep!  and we’ll even show you how we decorated the inside.  We normally don’t share that with you, but the humans haven’t signed it yet.

It’s funny because yesterday I was barking about how we frequently only use one stamp set, but we used two for this one.  And both of them are on the retirement list to get away later this month!

YIKES!

But we’re keeping them both.

So if you’re thinking that you’d like to make a card like this – either in black and red or in your school colors – this is what we used to put it together in minutes.

But first, a cardmaking tip:  Make the swirly silver part a little longer than what you need.  Attach it with either glue – you need a light touch to use the Liquid Glue – and then trim it down with Paper Snips.
