Unless this is your first time here, you probably know my style – fast and fabulous.
I like to design cards for Ann to make that look like they’re harder to make than they are.
But you may know how this dog REALLY thinks. The card in your hand is the best card ever!
We’re going to have to make 30 of these. Before we make the 30 cards, I need to know which version you think we should make. (just leave your comment below AND you’ll get in on this month’s drawing!)
Before I show you the two outside options, let me show you why this is the perfect mother-in-law card.
They call these mother-in-law cards because there isn’t a lot of room to write. It’s a perfect card for times that you don’t have much to say.
Do you recognize the new color?
- Tranquil Tide
- Night of Navy
- Calypso Coral
- Pool Party
But when we make the 30 cards, we’ll going to use the new Lemon Lime Twist instead of the Calypso Coral. That bright green isn’t really my style, but it will really look great as an accent color.
Now for the decision! I originally had Ann make it with a plain front.
Then afterwards, I asked her to stamp the front. She put some wax paper to cover the inside and lined up the Pool Party stamping on the front left side to match up with the stamped part on the inside.
Have you decided which version you like best?
And it was all done with the the stamps and some of the colors in the Eastern Palace Bundles that are only available this month. Here are just a few ideas that my gal pal Doodles and I came up with for combinations for the Eastern Medallion Thinlets. And it doesn’t even include the one we did!
We’ve even sweetened the deal by adding instructions for 20 cards that use the items that come in the bundles. There may be some circle punches or some neutral cardstock on some of them, but other than that, you can open your bundle and start making any of the 20 projects.
The Starter Bundle doesn’t include any Big Shot dies.
The Premier Bundle includes the coordinating thinlets and more.

What a great handmade card idea!
I prefer the stamp on the front as well. It ties the card together very nicely.
I prefer the stamped front. Thank you for the wax paper tip!

I know it will be a little extra work…but I like the card with the stamping on the front left.
I like the card with the stamped front. I didn’t know about using wax paper to mask. Thanks for teaching me a new technique!
It’s the same card. The inside was done so Ann had to protect the other stamping if she wanted them to line up like I asked for. She took a piece of wax paper with a straight edge and placed it over the stamping and over the Tranquil Tide border. Then she eyeballed it. She’s got x-ray vision and can see right through those photopolymer stamps!
I like the plain front. It allows the inside to “pop” more.
I like the one with the stamping on the fromt. Very classy!
I love this, Ann. Great design and choice of colors. I think Tranquil Tide might be my favorite new in-color.
I THINK I agree with Nita about liking the one with stamping on the front, but it’s a tough choice. They’re both very pretty.
I prefer the one you stamped on the front.
