Do you need a December birthday card idea for someone who has a birthday this month? My favorite huMAN’s brother’s birthday is on Christmas Day! And Ann’s grandkids celebrate December 28th and New Year’s Day.
It’s busy this time of year!
So today we’re mixing the old with the new to make a birthday card for Ann’s choir director. Her birthday was yesterday and we hope she likes this.
The Merry Music Specialty DSP is perfect! You get lots of it because it’s a little thinner than our regular Designer Series Paper and it’s only available while supplies last.
The choir director will have to look pretty closely to see what the tune is. We’re sure she will, but it will probably make her chuckle. I don’t think that most people would look.
Would you?
The stamps are from a new stamp set coming out January 3rd called Cake Soiree. Lucky for us, it has a coordinating set of framelits called Sweet Cake Framelit so we didn’t have to cut the stand, flower, leaf or cake out.
The average stamper has to wait until January 3rd, but demonstrators can pre-order theirs now AND earn free stamps from Sale-A-Bration that won’t generally be available until January 3rd!
You can even order them in your Starter Kit! Pick out $125 of items for just $99! (Discover more about that here.)
Do You Know How We Colored It?
We used Stampin’ Blends on Shimmery White Card Stock, of course! Here are the colors we used:
- Cherry Cobbler Combo
- Old Olive Combo
- Pool Party Combo
- Bermuda Bay Light
- and a teensy bit of Daffodil Delight Light
Ann’s not one to color a lot, but if she’s going to do it, she likes to do it right. Stampin’ Blends are the best! Of course, you can get the whole set here. It’s the perfect thing for Santa to bring – even if it comes a couple days after Christmas or in the form of a gift certificate! (Yes, we do those! Just ask Ann!)
