Did you find the Embossing Paste on page 201 of the Stampin’ Up! Catalog?  Did you wonder how to use it?

I’ll put my paws together with Ann’s hands and we’ll try to bring you up to speed.

Here is the card that we worked on together.  A coffee card that’s great for all your coffee-loving friends.

Coffee Card with Embossing Paste

Originally Ann was using the flower stamp from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set to be a flower.  Once she started, it reminded Ann of some square donuts she’d seen at Starbucks in the Dubai Airport.

Square Donuts

So here’s how the flower background ended up – like donuts with chocolate sprinkles on the top.  You can click on any of the following pictures for a closer look.

Embossing Paste Step 1

Now once you’ve stamped, you want to place the card base on waxed paper or better yet, a Silicone Craft Sheet.

Rather than use the Pattern Party Decorative Masks, Ann made her own using some thick cardstock and the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.

Embossing Paste Step 2

There’s no clean up when you make your own.  Just toss it!

Then you lay it where you want it on the cardstock and use the Palette Knife of your choice to spread a thin layer of Embossing Paste over the holes.

NOTE:  Put the cap back on the paste immediately!  It’s quick drying on the card which means that it’s quick drying in an open jar.

Embossing Paste Step 3

The Embossing Paste reminded her of sugar cubes being tossed into coffee so when she removed the mask, she sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on it.

Embossing Paste Step 4

The first card picture shows the glitter better, but you might like this picture.  Remember when you’re shopping that you’ll save 10% when you bundle stamp sets and coordinating Big Shot Dies.  You’ll see them in the shopping pictures below this post.

You can mix in a little of our Classic Ink Reinkers too.  Just put a drop or two in about a tablespoon of Embossing Paste.
