Masculine Cupcake Birthday Card

I love inspiring Ann to come up with a masculine birthday card, but she’s a little tardy to the party this time!

Her favorite son-in-law’s birthday was yesterday and once again, she hadn’t turned the birthday calendar over yet.

Have you ever done that?

So what shall we put inside this little doozie?

I think he’ll like it even though it has some bling on it.

You do know that there is NO RULE that says that you can’t put ribbon and bling on a masculine card, right? NO RULE!

And although we don’t usually show you the inside, the Big on Birthdays stamp set has a collection of greetings you can mix and match for a birthday card for anyone.

Don’t let that odd greeting throw you off though.

We’re not sure who we’d use that one weird greeting for. I think Ann should use it for a doorstop so I won’t accidentally get locked out of my office.

Big On Birthdays Photopolymer Stamp Set – 142877

We used three stamp sets on this card. Playful Backgrounds is a good one to have around to fill in where you need some ink. And we used Coffee Cafe in yesterday’s card.

All three of the sets we used are photopolymer and work best when you use a Stampin’ Pierce Mat (which Ann likes to calla Pokey Tool Mat). this is because photopolymer stamps don’t have that this layer of foam that you find in our rubber stamps. Make sure you’ve got one!

About yesterday’s card. Once Ann had typed my barks, I took a closer look at the card. That sparkly embossing paste really looks more like steam than like sugar cubes falling into the coffee.

Just this humble dog’s opinion.
