How late is too late to send a birthday card? What day does it have to be to warrant a BELATED birthday card?
You see, our 24/7 Stampers have a birthday card group where they send each other a birthday card. It was Ann’s turn, but the end of Sale-A-Bration, taxes, illness and fear of postal workers helped her to drag her feet more than she should have.
Why can’t she send something early for a change?
There are a couple little tips we’d like to about this card other than the fact that the Designer Series Paper is discounted and on the retired list. And the stamp set is on the retired list too!
But before we share – should we change this to a belated birthday card now?
We put the heart from the Metallic Enamel Shapes on the bottom of the greeting and thought that we had this card finished. We took pictures of it and then realized that adding a couple dots from the Metallic Enamel Shapes to cover a couple of the dots in the DSP would make this just right.
Card Making Tips
Just one or two Metallic Enamel Shapes made it just right.
Now, you should know that this set doesn’t stamp opaque so we took a Sponge Dauber dipped in Tangerine Tango and put it around the edge of the stamp that we’d inked up in Peekaboo Peach. Then we added a little more once Ann stamped the peach onto Whisper White cardstock.
Don’t you just love it when we can make an impressive card with just one stamp set?
