Do you have a loved one serving overseas?  Here’s a Christmas card with patriotic colors that might not make them quite as homesick as a Christmas card with standard Christmas colors.

Ann used to live in England with my favorite huMAN way before my grandmother was born.  She knows what it’s like to live away from family.  In fact, we live away from family now.

It’s so nice to get something from home, but it can be kind of bittersweet because it reminds you how much you miss someone.  (Make sure you mail early!)

We chose patriotic colors for this card because it has an subliminal message to show how proud we are for the sacrifices that they make for us.

Patriotic Colors

We used these for a vintage feel:

  • Hello Honey
  • Night of Navy
  • Cherry Cobbler
  • Crumb Cake
  • Very Vanilla

Before I share the supplies we used, here’s a list that we post each Sunday of unusual card giving days that are on schedule this week (like you need an excuse!):

  • Monday is Homemade Bread Day – Make some bread and attach a cool tag for your favorite friends.
  • Tuesday is National Entrepreneurs’ Day
  • Wednesday is International Men’s Day
  • Thursday is Peanut Butter Fudge Day – Time for another artsy tag on food!
