Ann finally got to get some ink on her hands to make this colorful best friend card. Her only regret was that she didn’t use soem of her new 2024-26 IN Colors! Well, she snuck one of them in at the end, but she could’ve done better.

Maybe you have these colors on your craft table already. And maybe she should make it again and see how different it looks with the new IN Colors. But I do like how it came out.

Ann got both of these stamp sets when she was in Houston for the Stampin’ Up! convention they call OnStage. And she’s so happy to be stamping!

Introducing Basic Beige!

Did you notice that she used Basic Beige? Yep. It’s lighter than the old Sahara Sand she was missing. It’s nice because it’s light, but it’s not too light. But we really featured the colors on the flowers.

These are the colors of Stampin’ Blends that we used:

Do you have any of those on hand?

About That Background

That’s when Ann brought out the Stampin’ Up! Masking Paper that was introduced in the past year or two. She tore it and placed it on the Granny Apple Green layer. Then she stamped on it with Granny Apple Green Classic Ink. (That’s sometimes called “tone on tone”.)

Then she got out her Small Blending Brush and applied more Granny Apple Green Ink focussing mainly on the torn edge to accentuate that. (You didn’t know that this pup knows big words, did you!)

It’s amazing how much the leaves and the torn edge show up when they’re all the same color!

While she didn’t use any of the new IN Colors on the flowers and foliage, she did use the Pretty in Pink Shimmer Gems. Oh, you’re going to love those shimmery gems! They’re awesome!

If you love color, you should check out our IN Color Club that’s getting ready to start up. We put all the details in yesterday’s post.
