Do you sometimes feel that you’re not the best at something? Like watercoloring? And do you spell that with one word or two – like water coloring. Because my typist says that it should be two. But in the craft world, we think that it should be one.

Ann knows that watercoloring is not her strong suit, but the more she does it, but more she likes it. And the better she gets – most of the time.

With the Stampin’ Blends, Stampin’ Up!’s alcohol markers, she can make something look watercolored and yet still have the option to erase. That’s what she used when she colored today’s card.

Birthday Card with Watercoloring
Birthday Card with Watercoloring

We’re calling it a birthday card, but it could be a card to send for anything. AKA Thinking of You card and we’ve got over 600 Thinking of You card ideas you can see here. (Actually, as of now, we have over 3,100 cardmaking ideas here on the site.)

So about how we colored…. we used to recommend using Memento Tuxedo Black ink when you’re coloring with Stampin’ Up! Blends, but you can also use our Classic inks! We used Pebbled Path on this project. It will be on the Last Chance List next week.

Our only regret is that we didn’t use shadow shading on this, but we usually do that on times that we don’t die cut around the image.

When’s the Last Time That You Colored?

It can be very soothing. And Ann likes coloring more that she started using the Stampin’ Blends. They really blend better than regular markers – at least for Ann. Do you find that too?

I know Ann was surely enjoying coloring this card. There’s something about purples and pinks that are especially soothing.
