Watercolor Pear Card

Have you checked out the techniques section of the latest Stampin’ Up! catalog? That’s what inspired this Watercolor Pear card. But it was the members in the Dog Pound that really made this card special.

The Dog Pound is a private Facebook group just for our our clients. Ann made a different version of a watercolor pear card, but she just wasn’t feeling it. She shared it in the group and asked for their suggestions and started again. And this is what she came up with.

It doesn’t take long to color the pear using our collection of Stampin’ Blends. But she did make this one a bit darker than the original one she made. That’s okay. We still like this card better.

She used the picture of the pear on page 119 for inspiration. that one is colored with Water Painters and ink refills. But Ann wanted to do it with Stampin’ Blends. So she did – along with our Watercolor Paper.

She used a black or gray watercolor pencil and a Blender Pen to gently shade the left side of the pear.
