Making a Card with Scraps

Were you able to watch our live stamping experience yesterday? Ann made a card with scraps she had on hand. But I’ll share some info so that you can make this easy to make card even if you don’t have the scraps or dies.

First, the scraps were from the cards she made for this card swap she did with some of her stamping buds. We have enough scraps to make 4 cards like this.

I think if she made it again, she’d probably make it with Bubble Bath for the pink instead of Petal Pink. She just likes that pink better, but as she stated in the show, she was running on 3/4 power.

I think she’ll be much happier once her voice comes back.

With a Pebbled Path background, it’s perfect for a masculine Valentine card. Of course, the heart doesn’t have to be pink. It can be green or brown or blue if you think he’d like it better.

I sure do like it better when she added a couple of those Blooming Pearls. They were featured in the Holiday Mini but have been held over at least while supplies last – or perhaps they’ll be in the next catalog. Not sure, but they are very striking.

Now, if you don’t have the Nested Essentials Dies to make the rectangles, you can make your own with a paper of your choice. Just cut rectangles 1-7/8″ x 2-1/2″. Your center piece doesn’t have to be a circle. It could be any shape including a custom shape for a flower or heart stamp.

Just use your imagination.
