Make a Quick and Easy Sailboat Card

We really loved making our sailboat card twice on Friday. Once to send to a new friend and again to share with all our viewers on our live stream.

We liked it just that much, but each time was a little different.

We made the first one without a hitch and got it in the mail.

But when we made the card with our viewers, we missed a little bit of the sea. Time to improvise!

So we moved the boat farther to the left to disguise the missing water. You can see it if you really look, you’ll see it. But the rest of us will just think it’s white caps. (That’s what they call the white foam on the top that’s caused by choppy waters.)

And it was great that one of our viewers at the very end suggested adding birds. They really balance this second one. Lucky for us, Ann could put her hand right on a set that had ones that were just the right size.

In any case, we like both of them. You can make several with the Let’s Set Sail Bundle and each one can be different based on where you put the boat and the greeting.

And by using the Stamparatus like we did in the live stream, you can make many of them in advance with different colored sails and add a greeting when you’re ready to use them.

Then you can decide which of these versions you prefer. But we think you’ll like them both. I know that we do. I don’t think the first one is missing the birds. But instead, I think that by moving the sailboat on the second card, it needs the birds to balance the card better.
