While Ann is considering a new assistant, she made this nice little square card with our viewers on Friday.

And it all started with this piece of cardstock that she stamped last week. So on Wild Friday, she made it into a little square card that will fit into a standard quarter sheet envelope.

Why is that important?

It’s important for two reasons:

  • You don’t have to make a unique envelope.
  • You don’t have to pay extra for postage.
    • Yes, they ask for a bit more for square envelopes.

That’s why this card is 4-1/4″ square which starts off with a 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ sheet of card stock.

You can watch the video here on YouTube or scroll down to see it. But here are a few quick tips on what Ann did:

  • The stamped Very Vanilla Cardstock was stamped with these colors:
    • Misty Moonlight
    • Evening Evergreen
    • Soft Succulent
  • Ann told me that she would’ve stamped the splatter dots in stamped off Sahara Sand if she knew she was going to use that color for the greeting.
  • Then Ann cut it with the largest rectangle of the smaller group of dies in the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
  • The Evening Evergreen border is cut at 1-7/8″ x 3-7/8″

This card was so much faster to put together than you might think. It’s perfect for anytime you want to send a quick note and don’t have much to say.

You can make a few of them without the greeting and then add that depending on who you’re going to send it to.
