We Love Hydrangeas!

You won’t believe how much we love hydrangeas!

We started today’s card on Wednesday’s video. It was really an experiment in watercolor.

Ann did things that she knows don’t work. (It wasn’t on purpose. She just wasn’t thinking.) But at least now YOU know that they don’t work!

But once Ann put the final card together, I knew that she found a good connection between old and new.

She married up things that are still fairly new – the hydrangea set – with something that’s retiring. That’s the greeting set Strong & Beautiful. (You’ve got to get that one before it’s gone!)

Then she married up those two opposites with a die set that hasn’t even been released yet! That’s the Scalloped Contours Dies #158356

Plus, after the show was over, Ann finished it off with a layer of Wink of Stella over the whole flower head. You can see it in this picture if you look really closely towards the top.

I do love how she did the leaves. They just seemed to happen. I’m thinking that watercoloring works better when you don’t try too hard.
