A Card to Perk You Up

It doesn’t take much to make this dog wag his tail and today’s card just might do that!

Everyone needs a little pick me up so we made a summery card to bring a smile to someone’s face. And I hope it will bring a smile to YOUR face!

Because today’s message is that just because things aren’t going right, doesn’t mean they’re going wrong.

Ann made typos! (She didn’t let me proofread.) She did enough math to make her head swim.

And still, we were happy that so many people got the greatest deal! And we were happy to help so many of you!

You know – shopping IS a group sport!

And this was all to celebrate Ann’s Mom’s birthday. She would’ve been 116 yesterday, so today’s card is just a reminder to celebrate every day!

I don’t think that the Lemon Lime Twist that we used looks exactly right on our screen , but you get the general idea. Why should everything be perfect all of a sudden?

When we started a test stamping sample, we used Daffodil Delight, Lemon-Lime Twist and Tangerine Tango. Ann noticed that the Tangerine Tango was a little light so she reinked it – HEAVILY.

I mean, she laid it on thick!

The only problem was that she hadn’t stamped the real card yet! And the test sample wasn’t the right size Whisper White!

OOPS!

The Tangerine Tango was so wet that we stored it upside down so that the ink pad would be right side up inside. This would encourage the ink to sink to the bottom.

But it’s still very juicy so we switched to Pumpkin Pie.

Notice how that lime holds the front closed? You only have to bend the card back a little in order to open it.

Cardmaking Tips

We like to call this a Mother-In-Law card because it leaves limited space inside to write on.
Place Stampin’ Dimensionals only on the right side of the back of that lime so it’s easier to open.
You could also pick one of two greetings that will fit inside.
- “Squeeze it for all it’s worth!”
- “LIVE it with Zest”

I don’t think that “to my main squeeze” would be a good one to put on the inside of this card! It might not be taken so well.
