What’s the best part about making your own cards? Any answer is the right answer, but one of them could be that you can make cards that you would never find in a store.
I think that’s the case with this card for more than one reason!
- First of all, how many wedding cards have a DOG on them?
- And how many have a colorful VW Big on them?
- Pink and black may be a popular color combo for a wedding, but how many wedding cards are like that?
Now, our friend Glenda calls this style a Mother-In-Law card because you don’t have a lot of room to write on the inside. We never thought of it like that, but it’s perfect to give to someone when you don’t have a lot to say.
But there IS room enough to put a gift card inside! How about $100 from their local movie theater? That would be a fun and unique gift.
Actually, we were working on instructions for a card that we’re sharing with our newsletter readers. (If you’re not one, you can join here.) Ann & I thought that you might have missed this versatile stamp set. And it’s going away later this month!
You might have thought that you would have to color this line drawn card, but we just stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then cut it out with our Paper Snips. (They’re the best!)
The English Garden Designer Series Paper that we used for the car is going away as soon as they’re sold out (or 5/31, whichever is sooner). The Melon Mambo polka dot paper will be available when then new catalog rolls out on June 1st.
I think that Metal Rimmed Pearls would make great hubcaps and the dog needs an Old Olive collar. Just barkin’ here.
What do you think? You could even turn it into a birthday card and still only use the one stamp set. LOVE THAT!
Here’s a picture list of what’s going away. Just click on a picture for details or to rev up your shopping cart.
I wouldn’t want you to miss out on anything.
