How to Make a Handmade Birthday Card

I’m ready to bark about how we made today’s birthday card, but it might not be what you’re thinking.

My first recommendation is to find a scrap of halfway done stuff to make your card with. All the Designer Series Paper, card base and embossing were already on our stamp table.

Yep. I took it and had Ann do some stamping and fussy cutting to finish the card.

And what’s so ironic is that we made another card with this exact same stamp set AND colors! (It doesn’t look like this. You can see it in this post.

Now, before I go any further, I consider it my duty to bark about a little price increase that you can avoid. While doing research for this card (because the Coastal Cabana and the Balloon Bash stamp set will NOT be in the new catalog). The Balloon Bash stamp set was featured in the Occasions catalog and will NOT be returning.

But, I digress…

In the new catalog, everything will be in even numbers. Things won’t be $7.95. They’ll be $8. Fine! Save me from helping Ann do math and she wants to use my puppy toes too.

When people purchase their Big Shot, they sometimes don’t realize how much of a beating their cutting plates get until they’re so worn down that they don’t cut well. They’re $8.95 in the current catalog which ends June 2nd.

But in the NEW catalog, they’re $11. OUCH! They’re worth it. Stampin’ Up! must’ve realized what a great deal they were and stopped the gravy train.

So go look at your Big Shot and the cutting plates and get them now before they’re more expensive in a few weeks. I’ll put a link in the shopping list below.
