Feeling So Very Thankful

Easter was wonderful yesterday. Ann went to church and then spent some time with friends. She said it was so good to see so many there. They had added an extra service just to make sure there was enough room for everyone and their visitng friends and families.

So Very Thankful Card

We loved making this card and adding texture in a slightly different way. Can you spot it?

We dry embossed a 1-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Highland Heather with the new Paradise Garden Hybrid Folder. And then Ann weaved it onto the card front in a slightly different way.

I like it. I like it a lot.

And coloring the flowers and stems only took a minute or two.

Making the line intersect with the flower stems wasn’t a difficult task. Ann stamped the lines close to the edge of the 3-13/16″ Basic White square. Then when she stamped the flower stems in Smoky Slate, she made sure that the stem joined with the line and all the flowers were on the card.

Photopolymer stamps are see-through and make it much easier to line things up.

Then we added some Purple Shimmer Gems to the corners. We sure are going to be sad to see those go.

FYI: The flowers and lines are from the new Framed All Around stamp set. But the greeting is from the Delicate Framing stamp set which is on the Last Chance List like the Purple Shimmer Gems.

I do think that we don’t make enough purple cards.
