Have you ever did your math wrong when you were cutting paper? That happened to Ann so we’re going to show you how to fix a mistake today.

I don’t know why Ann stays away from math because she knows how to do it. (She got an A in Geometry in high school and an A in Principles of Accounting when she took a college course.) But that’s not crafting and card making.

I think I’m going to encourage her to use her math skills more because I’m not going to do fractions on my puppy toes.

No matter what went wrong, we liked the way today’s encouraging card turned out. And the Saying Hey stamp set is on the Last Chance List too that was released today!

Where It Went Wrong

Ann figured out what width she wanted to cut the strips of patterned paper. But when she was adding the areas between the strips, she added the wrong number. At least that’s what she says.

Now, when you’re placing strips like this, you should one on one end. Then you put one on the other end. Then put the rest of the pieces equally in between the two ends.

Well, that works if you cut the Garden Green base right! Here’s how it turned out!

Ann could have made wider areas between the strips but she decided to do something different because the areas would’ve been too wide. She chose to leave one wider open area and add some Silver 1/8″ Trim there.

How do you think it turned out? We like it.

Plus – she didn’t even have to tie a bow!
