Oh my! We don’t have our Christmas cards out yet! Where did the time go? And we’ve got birthday cards for two wonderful young adults that are having birthdays between Christmas and New Years Day.
That’s what we’re concentrating on today/ The young adult cards.
So Where Did the Time Go?
Well, last week, Ann and my favorite huMAN made a trek to Savannah, Georgia to see one of those young adults get her nursing degree. They’ve never been there before so they stayed 4 nights. And the apprentice stayed at the doggy spa (the vet’s) for 5 nights because their plane left at 5am.
It was a fun and crazy vacay. She talked a little about the adventure a bit in Tuesday’s live stream.
Our apprentice, Domino, was fine when they picked him up on Monday. He was fine Tuesday too. But in the wee hours of yesterday morning, he started coughing like a goose.
So back our for another visit to Dr. G who explained that he was fine, but he could have allergies. And it wasn’t a cough. (Ann showed two videos of his coughing.) It was reverse sneezing!
In any case, the whole experience pushed back her card making, but she was so happy that Domino’s lungs were clear and he hadn’t caught that nasty dog virus that’s going around right now.
Ann Said She’d Show This Die Set
Yes! She used the Handcrafted Elements Dies to make a birthday card fdor someone turning 21. I guess that’s time for a grownup card.
Doesn’t it look grown up? We hope he likes it.
She used this because she wanted to be sure you didn’t overlook this die set. And she wanted to be sure you knew that there are nice dies in there that have nothing to do with the holidays.
And it’s on sale for 10% off through January 3rd or whenever they sell out – whichever is first.
Card Making Tips
Here are a few tips that might help you make this card.
- We tried both the Adhesive Sheets and Liquid Glue. The Adhesive Sheets work best for both layers with the fine artwork..
- Ann cut 3/4″ off the front right of the card before stamping the greeting.
- Ann used a 3-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ of Basic White on the inside to write on.
