Learning to Love New Color Combos

Welcome to September! We’re not breaking into the Fall zone with normal Fall colors. Instead, we’re trying new color combos.

Now, Ann and I weren’t overjoyed with this bright combination, but we’re liking it more and more each time we use it.

We love the brightness of it! We could all use a bit more brightness in our lives right now, right? The news is no fun (unless you watch ABC’s World News Now in the middle of the night).

Today’s card was inspired by a set of instructions from a Stampin’ Up! Founder’s Circle event Ann attended many years ago. The card was pretty fancy so we we used the layout to make a bright and perky. They don’t even look the same!

Has Your Vellum Gathered Dust?

They had vellum that had large gold stripes printed on it diagonally so we took the splatters from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Folders to add some texture.

And look! This one comes with a matching envelope using the same new color combo.

This was such a quick card to make because there’s only the vellum to cut. The card base and envelope are pre-made. And the inside of the cards are white so there’s no lining to make!

And, of course, there’s picking the stamps, but I can help you with that.
