What ARE the Dog Days of Summer anyway?

Here’s What Google Says!

The sultry part of the summer, supposed to occur during the period that Sirius, the Dog Star, rises at the same time as the sun: now often reckoned from July 3 to August 11. a period marked by lethargy, inactivity, or indolence.

That means we’re right in the middle of the Dog Days of Summer!  No wonder I wanted to linger on the couch just a little bit more last night.

Dog on the Couch

I’m pretty good about only getting on the couch when Ann’s on it.  When she gets up, I move.  I don’t get in her lap when she’s eating.

Let’s face it.  I’m a pretty good dog.

But I got the feeling last night that she’d like to take a picture of me – so she did!  It’s funny how that works!

She also paid attention to my insisting that she share a little thing that they made in the demonstrator shoebox swap in June.

What’s a Shoebox Swap?

It’s a fun event that Stampin’ Up! demonstrators do.  They get together and bring enough of their own project for everyone to make.  And then they make everyone else’s project.

You come with one idea and you go home with several!

And there’s lots of chatting, prizes and food – or any combination.

This was one that one of the other demonstrators brought.  I forgot who it was that Ann said had made it, but I know she said that the stamper was nice.

Here’s the cool inside:

You can go to one of these with Ann later this month as her guest.  Wouldn’t that be fun?  Yep.  Just ask her.

Isn’t that neat?  Something fun to make with the Envelope Punch Board.

Perhaps we should make it on our live stream on Facebook and YouTube tomorrow.  I’ll see what I can negotiate because I know that Ann really wants to clean that desk before she shows up live again.  Mmmmmm.

Maybe if I sit on the couch and look cute again.
