Wednesdays are a bit wild around here.  Ann has an online class every Wednesday.  Then at 1pm every Wednesday (Pawcific Time), she goes online to share stamping projects and/or stamping tips and techniques with you on Facebook and You Tube.

Then my friend Barbara comes over to lend a hand in all the wildness.  (Yesterday they planned out the new Sweet Treats for the upcoming Occasions Seasonal Catalog.)  Then it’s off to …. well, you get the picture.

It’s not always this busy around here, but Wednesdays are pretty crazy.  And my favorite huMAN and I put up with all of it!

So last night, Ann got out some of her new stamps that will be coming out in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Seasonal Catalog the first of the year and designed a special card – just for him.

She made it with the new Petals Pallette stamp set that will be in the Occasions catalog that starts on January 3rd.  It’s a nice stamp set with greetings and shapes that you can use the new Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers on.

(We’ll be sending Occasions Seasonal Catalogs and Sale-A-bration to our current clients soon so make sure you’re on the list!)

I like the way she layered these colors together on the flowers:

  • Calypso Coral Dark
  • Calypso Coral Light
  • Crumb Cake Light

Bet you didn’t see that Crumb Cake, did you?  She even used the Color Lifter a little.  You don’t have to just mix the same color.  You can blend any of the Stampin’ Blends together!

And that’s not the only place she mixed it up!  Here’s what she used on the leaves!

  • Old Olive Light
  • Old Olive Dark
  • Crumb Cake Light

It just kind of make those colors more earthy.

And, of course, she used her favorite paper to blend color on – the Shimmery White.

Here’s another tip!  She stamped the greeting onto Whisper White and punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch.  She also punched the Basic Black with the same punch so she took our Stampin’ Trimmer and trimmed a bit off the Whisper White just above and below the greeting.

Of course, you noticed that she cut the right side off that too and then topped it off with a Brights Enamel Shape.

She was working that trimmer!

We love little square cards.  We sometimes think of them as Lunchbox Cards because they’re a small love note that would fit inside a lunch box. PLUS they’ll fit inside a regular envelope so that you don’t have to pay extra postage for shipping a square card.

And now that he’s helping us with our mail, we especially like to keep him happy.

Isn’t it pretty?
