Making cards that are just a little different than the norm is just one of the very cool things about paper crafting and card making. And we’re going to show you how to make something just a little be different before this Artisan Embellishment Kit goes away.

So here’s the card. Do you notice what’s different? And do you notice that there’s not a lot of area to write on the inside? That’s grrrreat when you don’t know what to write!

If we put a light in the middle of it, you’d see that the Blushing Bride cardstock doesn’t have a folded edge! And here’s how we did it.

Card Making Tips

Here are a few tips to making this card.

We started off with the printed vellum that’s going to be discontinued after tomorrow (but you can get it free today).

The vellum is cut to 3″ x 5-1/2″. We used the Stampin’ Trimmer to score the vellum at 1-1/2″

The two pieces of Blushing Bride cardstock are each 3-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. We stamped the one for the front

I told Ann to attach some Sticky Strip to the left edge of the stamped Blushing Bride. Lay the folded vellum aligned with the stamped Blushing Bride card front so that it’s 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Close the vellum down onto the Blushing Bride.

Repeat for the back of the card by laying the back Blushing Bride piece on the back of the Blushing Bride card front.

Then lay down more Sticky Strip on the top of the vellum. Trim the strip of roses that you get from the Artisan Embellishment Kit and lay it on the Sticky Strip.

We used the Hexagon Punch to make the banner end of the Whisper White and the trimmed it a little with the Paper Snips. That little Blushing Bride bracket is from the Chevron Border Punch. We laid it over the angle because the angles don’t match up exactly.
