I don’t know if it’s really a glitter challenge, but I thought I might scare you if I called it a “Glitter Study”.

We were just playing around with things yesterday and I thought you might like to know what we found out.

First, we were working on some certificates.  They’re not really certificates, but they’re going to go up on a wall at an event and we wanted the hearts that we punched out of the Red Glimmer Paper to stay on.

If it were a card, we’d use Liquid Glue.  Since these are going to hang from a ribbon, we used the Mini Stapler & Mini Staples.  But the staples showed!

Glitter Valentine Heart

We found that the middle shade of the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities Markers was just the right color to color the staples.  You can see them in the texture if you really looked, but the color doesn’t grab your eye.  The Sweetheart Punch is on sale right now for 25% off and you can get Blendabilities free right now with a $50 order!

Then we started messing around with the Hamburger Box Big Shot Die that’s also on sale right now in the Weekly Deals.  We’d prefer using Pool Party or a Pink, Red or Purple.  Instead we stretched ourselves and did this in bumblebee colors by choosing Hello Honey and Old Olive.

Burger Box

I think that nice Hello Honey ribbon would be nice around the box, but we haven’t filled it yet.

So here’s the other bling idea that we did.  We stamped the flower from the Petal Potpourri on Old Olive and cut out the center.  Not fussy cutting, but not a perfect circle either.  (You can save 15% on that when you buy the stamp set & matching punch together.)

BurgerBox-Close

After we put the entire box together, we covered that Old Olive center with Crystal Effects and then sprinkled some glitter on it.  It’s not dry yet in this picture.  I’m sure it will be a bit more clear – if we didn’t add too much glitter.

I think Ann wants to use glitter more often, but she’s concerned how much will stick on my paws.  A dog does have his reputation to keep up.
