We don’t make many one layer cards in this house.  The only time we do is when we have to – like if there’s a one layer challenge.

Why?  Because we like it that way.

But last night we saw a card in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog and Idea Book.  We knew we wanted to make it – just not exactly like the one in the catalog.

Quick Easy and Impressive card

It was really made with YOU in mind.  Can you guess which card it is in the book that was the inspiration piece?  Take a peek in the catalog and leave your comment in the comments area below.

What else is different about this?  Well, you may have noticed that Ann & I like to use as few stamp sets as possible so that almost anyone can do it.  But with this card, we used THREE stamp sets for 3 impressions:  the background, the butterfly and the greeting.

What WERE we thinking!?!

I’ll bet some Gold Sequin Trim pulled apart and scattered would kick this up a bit too, don’t you agree?

Here’s a list of much of what we used in case you’d like to add it to your stampin’ supplies.  We included everything – even the Flowerpot Designer Series Paper that Ann stamped the butterfly in Blackberry Bliss and punched him right out so he could go free.  It adds just the right bit of depth.  AND you can get it free when you order any 3 other DSP – just not the stacks or the specialty papers.

You know – a dog can never have too many flower & nature stamps!
