Do you make greeting cards in bulk?  Do you make them all the same?

If you’ve been around me at all, you know that Ann and I like to give Target gift cards.  It’s not just that my favorite huMAN works there, or that we like shopping there, but they have the best shaped gift cards that you can plan a card around!

Both cards feature the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder that you can get free with a $50 order when you shop now.  The one on the right features a greeting from the You’re Lovely stamp set that’s also free until the end of the month.  AND you can get the Champagne Glimmer Paper for 25% off this week!

We did today’s card two ways almost the same.  The same card stock sizes.  But one has bling and the other doesn’t.  One is for a prize for a middle school graduation.  One is for a birthday present.

But the gift cards look like two different sizes!  That’s the optical illusion!  (And we did a different optical illusion idea in yesterday’s post.)

Which do you like better?

Card Making Tips

  • Whisper White is 4-1/4″ x 11″ & folded in half because the heavier front
  • Real Red is 4-1/16″ x 5-5/16″
  • Midnight Muse is 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
  • We made 3/16″ borders because the rounded corners layer better

Here’s what we used.  Just click on any of the pictures to get more information or add to your shopping cart.
