Today is Send a Card to a Friend Day and I have some questions!
What do you think about first when you sit down to start making a greeting card? I start thinking about it long before I lay down in our stamp room and tell Ann what to make. Do you start with the layout? The stamps? The colors?
Right now, I’m in the middle of a discussion with my Design Team on what card to send out to our clients. (We send you a card when you shop with us that you can keep or reuse to send to a friend.) My gal pal Doodles and I are in deep discussions about this even now.
She’s a Southern Dog and believes that Pistachio Pudding is an appropriate color for alligators. I think that Garden Green or Gumball Green or Wild Wasabi would be better.
So I set out to prove her wrong about those colors. I took the parts she mentioned and altered them in my “Top Stamping Dog” way and this is what I came up with. My layout is a bit different and I asked the alligator to embellish mine by doing a taste test. And of course, he had to have a roving eye made of pearl.
What do you think? I’ve got just 10 days until Ann’s birthday so I need to have everything caught up quick!
Is this a card you could use? Would you like to see it in your mail box?
