Almost everything that Ann learned about water coloring was from her friend Diane one nice September day. But water coloring – like anything else – gets better when you do it more. So imagine how happy we were when Stampin’ Up! brought out the Vivid Vases stamp in the new Occasions Catalog! It’s the perfect stamp to practice water coloring!
And what a grrrreat sentiment! It could be used for a birthday card, a thank you card, or a thinking of you card. Who doesn’t want to hear that they’re wonderful?
And all she did was to scribble the marker onto a piece of leftover label backing and then picked the color up with a Blender Pen. (A piece of waxed paper would work as well.) Well, I think there’s a little more to it than that. First you would want to stamp onto Watercolor Paper using Jet Black StazOn Ink. Shade first with Smokey Slate, then color in the flowers and vases when the shading is dry.
Those of you with a keen eye will notice the just released Silver Baker’s Twine. The special edge is made with the Finishing Touches Edgelits that just went on sale today in the Weekly Deal.
