Yesterday went off like a Stampin' Up! charm. Cecil was really surprised with 18 of his friends showing up for lunch to celebrate the day after his birthday.
If you were wondering how Ann got Cecil out of the house - Gail pretended to invite them to Red Robin for an Anniversary dinner. Ann made this card for Gail & her husband so Cecil wouldn't catch the hint. She was inspired by two pieces of scrap card stock that were laying on the table: Elegant Eggplant & Crushed Curry. She was so concerned about me that she almost didn't finish it, but she was able to pull it together with the Abundant Hope stamp set #117054(Wood) #118547(Clear) that's featured in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini catalog. She also used the Everything Nice stamp set #113818 that you can get for free until the end of this month with a $50 order.
Oh yeah! And let's not forget the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set #115370. n It's a good one to have so that you can have all the greetings in just one set.
The day was not without its drama. Ann noticed that I was a little
under the weather. She's really good at the slightest possibility that
I'm missing a little pep in my step. They took me to the doggy spa
which also doubles as a hospital when I'm not up to snuff. $276 later,
they still don't know what's wrong with me, but I DO have a fever.
X-ray seemed okay. Blood test was fine. Urinalysis was okie-dokie. I
was just too hot to trot with a 105 temperature.
Since I didn't even get up when the freezer door opened, the front
door opened OR the door bell rang, Ann felt I was better off at the
spa/hospital than home alone. Better to have a crack team of doctors
& nurses to cater to my every whim.
I'll be milking this sick thing as long as I can. Not to worry. Ann can still take dictation, but please - keep me in your prayers. Don't miss out on the free Easter cards & project instructions featured in this post.
